Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award

The Child Center of Pennsylvania is happy to present Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg as the winner of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is presented yearly to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to enhancing the lives of youngsters in our community.
Brian Houchin s, a dedicated elementary faculty trainer and community volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children's training and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of countless kids in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins' initiatives include establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged college students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and leading a successful community-driven marketing campaign to upgrade local playgrounds, ensuring secure and inclusive play spaces for all children.
The ceremony for the award will be held on January 15,at the beginning of JanuaryThe Mechanicsburg Community Center will host the awards ceremony on 15th of January, 2024. The event will feature speeches from native dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins' contributions, and the award presentation.
