Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg as the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is offered annually to an individual who has demonstrated exceptional dedication to bettering the lives of children in our group.
Brian Houchins , a devoted elementary school instructor and group volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s schooling and welfare. Over the previous ten years, his efforts have significantly impacted the lives of countless youngsters in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives include establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy skills for at-risk youth, and main a successful community-driven campaign to improve native playgrounds, making certain safe and inclusive play areas for all children.
The award ceremony might be held on January 15, 2024, at the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The event will function speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
