Child Center of Pennsylvania Honors Brian Houchins with Community Recognition Award
Mechanicsburg, PA – December 21, 2023
The Child Center of Pennsylvania is proud to announce Brian Houchins of Mechanicsburg as the recipient of the 2023 Community Recognition Award. This prestigious award is offered annually to a person who has demonstrated distinctive dedication to bettering the lives of children in our community.
Brian Houchins , a dedicated elementary college trainer and neighborhood volunteer, has been an unwavering advocate for children’s training and welfare. Over the past ten years, his efforts have considerably impacted the lives of numerous children in Mechanicsburg and surrounding areas. Houchins’ initiatives include establishing a free after-school tutoring program for underprivileged students, weekend workshops focusing on literacy and numeracy abilities for at-risk youth, and main a profitable community-driven campaign to upgrade native playgrounds, ensuring secure and inclusive play areas for all youngsters.
The award ceremony might be held on January 15, 2024, on the Mechanicsburg Community Center. The event will function speeches from local dignitaries, a presentation about Houchins’ contributions, and the award presentation.
